A 10,000-square-foot house overlooking Lake Chesdin in Chesterfield County has hit the market with a multimillion-dollar price tag.
The seven-bedroom home at 13549 Chesdin Landing Drive was listed last Wednesday at $3.95 million. John O’Reilly with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Base Camp has the listing.
Property records list the sellers as trustees for Jeremy and Monaca Vanderpool, who built the house in 2020 after purchasing the 3.5-acre waterfront lot for $375,000 the previous year.
Chesterfield County has assessed the developed property at $1.62 million.
The Vanderpools founded Healthcare Construction Management, a healthcare-focused general contracting firm based in Chesterfield. Monaca previously owned Richmond Promotional Products, according to a bio on HCM’s Facebook page.
Built by Covenant Building & Design, the two-story house has five bathrooms and three half-baths, a first-floor owner’s suite with walk-in closets and en suite bathroom, upstairs bedrooms with Jack-and-Jill baths, and a loft area and game room.
The house includes a gym, in-law suite, and basement with theater room, bedroom, kitchenette and rec room. The property also includes a pool with grotto and light and fire features, an outdoor kitchen, and a wrought-iron gated entrance.
A call to O’Reilly late Monday afternoon was not returned in time for this story.
The house joins other multimillion-dollar listings that have hit the market in recent weeks.
Across the river in Goochland, the Sharp family mansion in Rivergate was listed last week with an asking price of $9.5 million. In Richmond, the Ellen Glasgow House just went under contract after its latest listing at just under $2 million.
